The main difference with ICD-10 functionality is that you may be asked additional questions to get to a specific ICD-10 billable code. For more information, click here.
Note: Entries that need to be updated for ICD-10 display in red text.
Care Plans - The Care Plan module has been enhanced with new fields to meet the requirements of Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and NCQA (National Committee for Quality Assurance). For details, click here.
Note: New fields entered here are not yet available when importing information using LMR Notes. This functionality is planned to be added in an upcoming release.
Patient List Upload - This module from the Admin menu allows authorized users to upload any sized patient lists from the LMRRMDR folder. Lists created in this way can then be used in the same way as any other LMR lists. For example, you can manage these lists using the My Patient List module or use them to distribute custom forms (such as previsit forms) on demand. The overall goal is to support Patient Gateway outreach, population health, and meaningful use activities. For details, click here.
Summary2 - You are now allowed to document a patient's consent status for using the Massachusetts HIway to send health information to authorized health care organizations. For details, click here.
End of Visit - The module has been updated to prepare for the October transition to ICD-10. Additional refinement screens are displayed when you enter diagnosis codes for orders dated 10/1/2015 or later.
Clinical Messages - The Clinical Messages module has been updated to allow communication to and from Epic providers. When selecting an Epic provider as a recipient, a suffix of "- PEC" displays after the name. Messages received from Epic providers display as "non-LMR User <name>." Epic recipients can be added to CC Lists in the same way as adding any LMR user.
Patient Gateway - Patients who are seen by some providers using Epic and other providers using the LMR will now see two tabs for certain sections in the patient record. This ensures that patients have access to data entered in either application.
Important! Some providers within the Partners HealthCare System are entering patient data using the Epic application. This may mean that the lists displayed in the LMR (including problems and medications) may not be up to date.
To view patient data currently in the Epic application, click View Partners eCare Chart on the Summary screen. You can also click Partners eCare Chart from the Other EMRs menu.
Once you have viewed the patient's Epic chart, you can request a CCDA document to allow you to reconcile problems and medications between the LMR and Epic. Do so by clicking Request PeC CCDA (also on the Summary screen). For details, click here.
You can now also reconcile LMR medications with information gathered from multiple sources, including not only the patient’s Epic record, but also data from pharmacies and insurance claims data. Do so using the Consolidate Med List Viewer (CMLV) link from the Medications view. For details, click here.
