Clinical Summary Overview

This tab displays an index of specimens and reports based on the data available in all clinical datatypes for the selected sites and time frame.

You can sort items in the index by Date (the default) or by Type (clinical datatype). When the index is sorted by Type, double-clicking a datatype name expands or collapses the information within that datatype.

Note: If you can't find the item you are looking for in the index, click here.

To View details in the lower pane,or, in the case of scanned data, to view the scanned image, click a specimen or report in the index. You may be able to access additional detail, when available, for the following datatypes:

To view a previous version of a document (if available, as indicated by a gray shaded index row), click the item in the index; then click the History button at the bottom of the tab to open the Document History window, where you can select the previous version you want to view. For details, see Viewing Document History.

Note: In the EHR Viewers, document history is limited to items from the PHS Document Repository. (e.g. It is not available for LMR notes.)

To display the lab test trend for a chemistry, hematology, or immunology lab, first select the lab in the upper pane; then select the appropriate line in the lower pane. Click the Trend button at the bottom of the tab to open the Lab Test Trend window.

For Notes, this tab contains documents filed in the LMR and Document Repository such as notes, letters, and consents as well as a limited set of miscellaneous reports for a patient. Important! Some of these documents may have been automatically generated from Partners applications as well as external sources to meet Meaningful Use requirements for sharing patient information between healthcare providers.  When viewing notes from the Big Board, you can set a preference to display the Notes Filter/Sort View instead of the Big Board/Clinical Summary view.
