The
KnowledgeLink icons (
) provide one-click access to reference
information about labs and reports. You can research differential
diagnoses for abnormal results or access educational material for
your patients. KnowledgeLink icons are available on the Labs view
or Lab Specimen Detail Display for the following tabs:
Big Board, Clinical Summary,
Last Known Values, Specimen Views –
Highlight the test name, and then click the Detail button.
Or, highlight text from any report and click the icon.
Labs –
Click the icon to the
left of the test name or click on the result field on the grid
in the right pane.
Microbiology, Reports – Highlight text from any report
and click the icon.
Note: KnowledgeLink icons are currently not available from the Report Mgmt or LMR Summary tabs.
The KnowledgeLink button on the left side of the CAS Shell provides access to the main KnowledgeLink search page. Type a search word or phrase, choose a context (Meds, Labs, or Disease) to search in; then click Search. To look up educational information to give to the patient, click the Patient Info box before clicking Search.
