You can now switch between retail and mail order pharmacies directly from the main Medications screen when renewing medications. The medications list now includes a Pharm column, with options for Retail and Mail. Previously, you needed to access the detail screen for each medication to change the pharmacy indicator before renewing.
The Rx pad, displayed when adding a new prescription, now includes an "As directed" option for all medications.
The supervising MD (or MDs) printed on prescriptions can now vary based on the user's location. Previously, the supervising MD (or MDs) was defined per user and could not vary for different locations. (This only applies to selected users such as NPs who must include a supervising MD's name on prescriptions.) For details, click here.
The Send to Pharmacy page has been redesigned (this is the screen displayed after signing for medications updates that include a new or renewed prescription). The Health Monitoring module has been modified to incorporate a number of usability related improvements:
The order of items within the grid has been modified. Within each section, items from the HM template display first, followed by other items, in alphabetical order.

The detail view, displayed when clicking the date for a previous entry, now includes only the first line of an associated comment (with additional details visible by hovering over the Comments field). Previously, multiple lines of a comment were displayed, making it more difficult to see the associated trend.
From the Summary module, you no longer need to scroll horizontally to view the complete Result column. The HM Item name column has been shortened, and displays truncated names (such as "Hypoglycemia assessme... ") for names that are too long. Move your mouse pointer over the HM Item field to display the complete name. Note that moving your mouse pointer also displays dates associated with patient history associated with Varicella or positive PPD ("Patient Had" details.
From the Custom HM Templates module, you can now double click any item in the All HM Items column to move it to the Other HM Items column. Previously, you needed to select the item and click the right arrow button.
Vaccine-related fields now automatically clear when you select an entry other than Done (applies for vaccine-related entries, such as Influenza vaccine, both here and in the Immunization module). Fields also clear when you select a different date.
The module now includes color coding of items based on due dates. Items that are due are highlighted in pink; items that are due within the next 30 days are highlighted in yellow.
Due status is automatically set for items associated with decision-support reminders. You can also set a due date for any item. For details, click .

You now have to sign when you save a clinical message as a note or to-do item.
The following additional sections have been added to the Visit Summary Report: active allergy list, procedures, problems, non-medications (”supply list”), and recent diagnostic test results. The option to print the Visit Summary Report is now available from the right-click shortcut menu. For details, see Using the Right-Click Shortcut Menu.

An NPI number check has been added as an additional validation rule. When you validate an encounter, the system now checks the EOV header for the presence or absence of an NPI number for the ordering, billing, and rendering providers. The validation message displays if an NPI number is missing. There is a new Header button in the EOV Shopping Cart that allows a user to open the Header and update the NPI number.
