Complete the following steps to automatically create a note documenting your follow-up call to a patient. The note is created as a standard LMR note, viewable from the Notes list.
1. If you haven't already, go to the Result Manager module and click a letter or letters in the CDR Results column for the visit.
2. Check to be sure that the check box on the left is selected for the results for which you called the patient. If you called the patient about multiple results, click each check box preceding the result category on the left.
Note: You may need to click the text link for the result on the left to enable the associated check box.
3. Click the Patient Called tab. The LMR creates a system-generated note, documenting that call.
4. If applicable, update the Service Date field and Subject fields.
5. Add and update text as desired. Click Add Signature to add you signature line to the bottom of this note.
7. If you want to save your work now, click Sign (F10). The LMR indicates the changes that will be saved. Type your key and click Sign.
