The LMR now transmits prescriptions electronically to valid mail order pharmacies selected using the Rx pad. Previously, the LMR only allowed you to transmit prescriptions electronically to retail pharmacies.
Important:
Any previously entered mail
order pharmacies listed in the patient's chart indicated as Retail
should be deleted. These pharmacies have incorrect data and are
not set up for mail order prescribing. For instructions for deleting
a pharmacy, click here.
You can now create two prescriptions for the same medication (same strength, form, and frequency) when adding or renewing a medication. This is useful in situations where the patient needs a 30-day supply from a retail pharmacy while awaiting processing of a 90-day supply for mail order. Do so by clicking the Add 2nd Rx link from the Rx pad. (The LMR defaults the first pharmacy you entered to the retail pharmacy.) For additional details, click here.
Note: When using this option, be sure to also select the Expire option. Otherwise, both medications remain on the patient's active medications list.
You can now select default pharmacies for both retail and mail order. Previously, only a single default pharmacy could be set. The Rx Sign screen has also been changed to allow you to override either default before electronically transmitting a prescription.
The banner on the Medications screen now includes a View link to display all pharmacies associated with the patient.
The Special Instructions field has been moved adjacent to the Dose field to reduce the potential for conflicting information when writing prescriptions.
The Pharmacy Info option has been renamed to Pharmacy Favorites for consistency with other custom functionality. Additionally, screens have been updated to indicate the pharmacy type (retail vs mail order).
A Home button has been added to the LMR menu providing one-click access to the Home Page.
The look of the Home Page
has been modified to include a different color scheme and
larger text size for easier viewing. A new refresh icon has also been added.
You can now customize what displays in the individual sections of the home page, including which columns you wish to display and the size of those columns. You can also customize how much data you wish to display. This customization is also available at the practice and enterprise levels (for authorized users). For details, see Customizing the Display of Sections.
The general Home Page layout customization has been removed from the Custom Summary module and is now located in the Custom Home Page module. In addition, you can now use drag and drop functionality to add modules to your custom home page and move the modules within the columns. For details, see Creating a Custom Home Page.
The Health Maintenance module has been renamed for this release to better reflect its enhanced tracking capabilities. Other enhancements include the following:
You can now manage items directly from the Summary screen.
The module now includes color coding of items based on due dates. Items that are due are highlighted in pink; items that are due within the next 30 days are highlighted in yellow.
Due status is automatically set for items associated with decision-support reminders. You can also set a due date for any item. For details, click .
The grid has been reorganized, including additional section headers.
Practices can now create a custom grid to focus on items most important for their patient population. See Creating a Custom HM Template for a Practice or Subset for details.
Individual providers also have a limited ability to customize the grid for individual patients by adding or moving items. For details, see Adding Items to the Grid and Moving Items within the Grid.
If not sure of the exact date of an entry, you can enter a year only or month and year (that is, YYYY or MM/YYYY format). Click the Approximate checkbox, if desired, to indicate to other users that the date is an estimate. Previously, immunization dates needed to be entered as MM/DD/YYYY.
You can now attach a note to an entry. For details, click here.
Knowledge Links are available
directly from the Health Monitoring grid by clicking the to the left of an item name.
Previously, you needed to click to display the detail for
an entry and then click Recommendations.
Miscellaneous changes have
been made to buttons and links on the main screen of the module.
For example, the Print button has been replaced by a icon.
The method to add an immunization has changed. Do so by clicking the immunization name.
Column headings no longer indicate a dose number. You can now add a missing dose between two existing doses by specifying the appropriate date. Previously, an immunization dose was added according to a dose number column heading and could not be changed.
Previously recorded immunization doses are re-sorted by the LMR based on the associated dates.
If not sure of the exact date of an immunization, you can enter a year only or month and year (that is, YYYY or MM/YYYY format). Click the Approximate checkbox, if desired, to indicate to other users that the date is an estimate. Previously, immunization dates needed to be entered as MM/DD/YYYY.
You can now attach a note to an immunization entry. For details, click here.
You can now select responses such as Done, Declined, or Done Elsewhere for selected immunization types. This has been done to ensure consistency with the Health Monitoring entry form for the immunization.

The Immunization report has been updated to list vaccines in alphabetical order, as well as to incorporate other minor changes.
You can now set a preference to have your notes autosave after a specific time period to prevent data loss in the event that you lose your connection to the LMR. For details, see Working with AutoSaved Notes.
When you click a list-based section name on the Pt Data tab or in a structured or point and click note, such as Medications, the module now displays in a popup window. You can import items into the note from here, and you can also edit the list as you normally would from the module.
You can now customize the data that you import into a note from list-based modules. For example, you can select which data fields you wish to import, and you can edit field labels. For details, see Customizing Data Import.
Previously, you could only import into your note vital signs from for the date of the note. Now you can import vital signs from any date. Also, if the patient has multiple vital signs entered for one day, you can now have the option to import all values. For details, see Importing Vital Signs Data.
For pilot users only, the LMR displays a Problem List Suggestion screen, if applicable, when saving a note. For details, click here.
Authorized GE Chartlinx users can now receive notes copied to them via Chartlinx. When selecting a note distribution method on a CC List, the Clinical Messages option will now be enabled for Chartlinx users, and the note will be sent to the user via Chartlinx. For details, see Working with Distribution Lists for Notes (CC Lists).

In most cases, primary care physicians would indicate only "Unspecified Contrast Media," if applicable. Radiologists are expected to indicate the specific contrast media allergen.
You now receive a warning message immediately after selecting a free-text entry from the drug lookup. Additionally, all free-text allergies are indicated on the Allergy List by the notation "[uncoded]" following the allergen name.
You can now specify the severity of the reaction. Options include mild, moderate, severe, and unknown.
The Oncology Staging module has been renamed for this release (Staging/Treatment Plan) to reflect the addition of treatment plans for lung and breast tumors. Treatment plans are based on paper templates defined by ASCO (American Society of Clinical Oncology).
This module uses information from the Chemo Order Entry information to ensure consistency between documentation and better coordination of cancer care. Treatment plans can be saved in Draft, Preliminary, or Final status. When saved as Final status, the LMR creates a copy of the Treatment Plan as a patient note and generates a consent form.
The following enhancements have been made to the Medical History form based on user requests:
The screen has been reorganized and now includes two new sections (Musculoskeltal and Infectious).
Some problems have been removed.
Four new diagnoses have been added (Uterine Fibroids, Chronic Back Pain, Scoliosis, and Anxiety).

Previsit Forms can be printed either individually from the Reports menu or in batch from the Schedule. For details, see Previsit Form Help topics.
