Indicators similar to the Clinical Messages (CM) icon have been added to the upper right corner of the Webshell. They let you know if there is data waiting in your work queues, and you can navigate directly to the modules. These user alerts now exist for Clinical Messages, Rx Refill Queue, Result Manager, Referral Manager, and Document Management. See Module Shortcuts for more details.
You can access the QuickLook
popup (F8) to display view-only summary information for the
selected patient. You can click QuickLook from the Popup menu,
or click this icon
that displays to the left of every patient's name on
the desktop modules. See Using the QuickLook Option for more
details.
A Desktop Navigation Bar (F7) lets you monitor the modules or quickly navigate to your work queues via a popup accessible from anywhere in the LMR application. You can also select the option from the Desktop module.
Chart Access Control (CAC) is a service that monitors access to a patient’s medical record any time a user accesses a patient’s data. If a provider is affiliated with an ACE (affiliated covered entity) practice, they will be granted permission to access a patient outside of their practice if they identify a reason for needing to do so. CAC will never prevent a registered LMR user affiliated with an ACE practice from accessing a patient. CAC will, however, prevent inappropriate access to patient charts for non-ACE practices. If you are not sure of your ACE status, or have any questions about the CAC function, please contact your HIS department.
When you're sending a new message, the Send To field now displays only those names of staff members in your department. There is a Show All link that lets you display an expanded list of all members at the entire practice level. See Create a Message for more details.

It automatically inserts the General Chemistry and General Hematology template data into your patient letter while bypassing both of these template popups.
The General Chemistry and General Hematology templates now include a Miscellaneous section to capture results for infrequently ordered tests.

Reminders now display for diabetics that are almost due or overdue for Microalbumin.
Lower cost alternatives will be suggested for Antihistamine medications and Selective Serotonin Re-uptake inhibitors (SSRIs) during the medication ordering process. The suggested substitutions will have similar medicinal benefits.
Suggested dosing and frequency adjustments will display for age-based dosing (Gerios) and renal dosing (Nephros). Drug substitution warnings will allow you to select an alternative medication.
For these new enhancements, see Responding to Prescribing Alerts for more details.
The "See report in results" that displays in the Result column on the Health Maintenance grid for text reports is now linked to a more detailed view of the CDR results for the selected Health Maintenance item.
When you want to e-mail a note, there's a new Patient-Provider List button that automatically pulls in the list of physicians from the patient's Summary 2 screen. This new feature detects which physicians have valid e-mail addresses, and makes those providers available to you for e-mailing the note. See Sending a Note Using E-mail for more details.
Oral chemotherapy medications ordered on the prescription pad will automatically display on the active medications list under the Take Home Oncology Meds section on the Oncology Infusion Flowsheet. See Add Medications (Premeds, Chemo, and Other), Blood Products, Hydration, or Routes for more details.

The Summary screen can now be customized for QuickLook (F8) and the new Desktop Navigation Bar (F7). Tabs display across the top of the Custom Summary screen to let you choose which one you want to modify, including the existing Summary and the Summary Popup (F9). See Custom Summary Overview for more details.
A header section is available on the Summary for super users only, that allow them to display other sections in addition to the reminders at the top of the summary screen. Super users can also add and remove columns for a maximum of five columns.
