The E-mail option is available from the Notes and the Document Management modules.
1. If you haven't already, select the patient and go to the appropriate module.
Note: Document Management defaults to displaying your Preliminary queue. Select another queue, if necessary.
2. Click the subject of the note to display it.
3. Click E-mail to display the LMR Email Services dialog box.
Note: If you attempt to e-mail a preliminary note that you have signed but then edited, you will receive a warning message to sign all new changes prior to sending the e-mail.
4. To update the Subject field, click the field and type. This field defaults to the note subject.
5. If desired, use the Additional Text field to add text to the message.
6. To add e-mail recipients, do any of the following:
Select recipients from a previously created custom distribution list
Select a Provider from the patient’s physician list in Summary 2
7. Click Send.
Note: You cannot send restricted notes via e-mail.
