What's New in this Release - April 2004

   -  You can now display summary patient information (including meds, allergies, and problems) from any location in the LMR by clicking the F8 key. Doing so also allows you to navigate directly to the Add or Update screens for any entry. See Using the QuickLook Option for details.

   -  A ? button has been added to the menu bar to make help more accessible throughout the LMR. Additionally, the color of the Help button in the menu bar now changes color to highlight changed information.

   -  The icon now displays to the right of a patient name on the schedule to indicate a link to an existing note, if applicable. Previously, the indicator [N] was used. This applies to providers only.

   -  A status column has been added to the schedule display. This displays arrival and no show information from the registration system.

   -  The Medications module has been redesigned to improve usability. You can now add, renew, and discontinue medications directly from the initial screen. Also, the medication text box now accepts other details (such as dose, route, and frequency) to save entry time. See Adding a Medication and Renewing and Discontinuing Medications for details.

   -  The process of adding medications is now based on selecting a dose. The LMR automatically completes Strength/Form and Take fields based on the dose selected. For fractional doses, a "show all" link allows you to display all available formulations.

   -  A prescription preview is now available at the top of the Add Medication screen. This allows you to preview what the sig information on the script will look like before printing.

   -  You can now view medications associated with discharge orders from BWH BICS. You can also print prescriptions for them. See Working with Discharge Medications for details.

   -  Additional filtering capabilities have been added to help you find specific notes. See Using Note Filter Options for details.

   -  You can now edit entries from an existing list (such as problems or medications) while creating or editing a structured note. See Editing Entries for details.

   -  An additional view option has been added. A clickable icon allows you to display a plain-text version of any note. See Viewing Notes for details.

   -  A message now displays if you attempt to view a note from MGH Child Psychology. Access to these notes is monitored by the Clinical Director.

   -  The Vital Signs tab has been replaced by a Flowsheet tab, allowing you to display entries from the past five visits.

   -  Lists on the Summary (such as problems and medications) now display up to 20 entries. Previously, a maximum of six entries displayed.

   -  You can now add a note directly from the Summary. Click  and select the type of note you want to add.

   -  List entries that are linked to notes are indicated by the icon . Previously, the indicator [N] was used. Additionally, tab labels for Fam/Soc History, Sticky Notes, and Advance Directives display in red when an entry is available.

   -  Save options for a new letter have been modified to improve efficiency. You can now save as Final and print a copy with a single click. See Adding a Letter for details.

   -  A "User Comment" area has been added to the detail view of results to allow you to add informal notes to your staff. See Adding User Comments for details.

   -  The button to add a signature line to a letter now references the associated provider rather than the logged on user.

   -  You can now display detailed information on any protocol from the Oncpro system. For patients on a protocol, click the flag to display a popup box indicating the protocol summary information. Click any line of this popup box to display detailed information. (You can also click the Oncpro option from the Oncology menu to display the homepage for the Oncpro web site.)

   -  The Infusion Flowsheet has been updated to allow for documentation of intra peritoneal devices. Two new routes have been added: IP Implanted and Tenckhoff.

   -  The modules for all Custom functions (except Custom Summary) have been changed to better distinguish between personal, shared, and system-supplied entries. A series of filter buttons now displays at the top of each screen to allow you to navigate between these by type. See Using Filter Buttons for details.

   -  You can now maintain the available entries for all Custom functions (except Custom Summary). For example, you can limit the number of templates that are displayed when selecting a template to create a new note. See Maintaining Custom Entries for details.

   -  Custom Reports have been updated to allow you to specify the "patient friendly" version of medication information. To do so, select the Meds to English report item when creating the report.

   -  Custom Reports have also been updated to allow you to specify certain lab values. When run, such reports include the last five values for the selected labs.

   -  A Preferences option has been added to the Custom menu. This option allows you to select which screen displays first upon logging into the LMR, as well as which view is displayed upon selecting a patient. Additionally, providers have the option to choose whether the Schedule displays their individual schedule or the entire practice schedule.
