1. If you haven't already, go to the Clinical Messages (or Mail Center) module. The Active queue of either your Clinical Messages or Patient Requests displays.
2. Find the message you want. For details, click here.
3. Click the subject associated with the message to display it.
4. Click Reply or Reply To All to display the message with an area to type your response. Note that you can click Select Recipient to add additional recipients.
5. If there is a patient attached, you can update the From field. (This only applies if you are associated with the same clinic as the patient.)
Note: To post-date your message, click the calendar icon and select a date or type the date.
6. Type your response.
7. If there is a patient attached, use the Pt. Data tab to add data, if desired.
Note: If sending a message to a GE Centricity user, click Add Pt. Data to add data.
8. If desired, save the message as a note or To Do item. Or click the option to select a read receipt or mark the message as high priority.
9. Click Send or Send Reply & Delete Original. Or, to finish the message at a later time, click Save as Draft.
Note: For Clinical Messages only: if you reply to a message when working in another user's queue, the message is sent from you (the logged on user), not from the user's whose queue is being worked on. See Working in Another User's Queue for details.
