Editing an Encounter

1.   You can edit an encounter that is not in Final status. If you haven't already, select the patient and go to the EOV encounter view.

2.   To edit header information for any encounter, see Completing and Updating the EOV Header.

3.   To edit previously entered information for the EOV templates associated with this encounter, click the Active link in the Status column. The LMR displays the EOV "template player" screen. The left pane of this screen displays the headings and hierarchy for the associated template or templates in a collapsible tree structure.

4.   To add more templates to the encounter, click More Templates. The LMR displays available encounter templates. Click to select the templates that you want and click Ok.

5.   If desired, validate the encounter.

6.   If you want to save your work now, click Sign (F10). The LMR indicates the changes that will be saved. Type your key and click Sign.
