A warning message is displayed if you are missing key data. Click Continue to update the encounter as necessary. Or click Close to close the encounter without updating it.
If
enabled, the LMR also performs medical necessity checking. For
each order that doesn't have an appropriate diagnosis code based
on medical necessity or a primary diagnosis, EOV displays the
icon to the right of
the order description. If you edit the encounter to add the correct
diagnosis code, the icon

A warning message may also display to alert you of duplicate lab orders across encounters or LMR locations. Depending on the order and your set up, you may have the option to cancel the existing order. For details on setting up duplicate order alerts, click here.
