There are a number of ways to change a patient's chemotherapy orders before activation, each dependent on the situation. Click to view the corresponding process:

Inpatient:

• Editing Pre-Admit/NICO New chemo orders have not been activated and need to be changed before activation

• Editing Unapproved Chemo Orders Chemo orders written by a fellow or advanced practitioner have not been approved by an oncologist yet; edits needed before approval

• Discarding Pre-Admit/NICO Delete orders before activation

• Changing the Activation Date Patient will not receive treatment as scheduled; reset the activation date to prevent the orders that are awaiting activation from expiring

• Changing the Day1/Day 0 Date. Patient will not start treatment as scheduled; reset the day1/day 0 date to prevent the orders that are awaiting activation from expiring

• Changing the Cycle/Week Number Cycle number incorrect when orders were written

Ambulatory:

• Editing Pending Chemo Orders New chemo orders have not been activated and need to be changed before activation

• Editing Unapproved Chemo Orders Chemo orders written by a fellow or advanced practitioner have not been approved by an oncologist yet; edits needed before approval

• Discarding Pending Chemo Orders Delete inactive orders before activation

• Changing the Visit Date Patient will not receive treatment as scheduled; reset the visit date to prevent the orders that are awaiting activation from expiring

• Changing the Cycle/Week Number Cycle number incorrect when orders were written
