Expiration at conclusion of scheduled treatment—All chemotherapy and chemotherapy-related orders become inactive at midnight on the last scheduled day of treatment for the weekly activated orders.

Daily, continuous, and seventh day orders—Orders that are not scheduled for a specific day within the week's worth of orders remain active from the first day of the activation week until noon on the day following the end of that week. Orders scheduled for the seventh day of that week also expire at noon on the eighth day.

Duplicate active orders—On the first day of an activation week, orders that were activated the previous week could remain in the patient's active orders list. These are orders that had no scheduled day (daily or continuous orders) and those that were scheduled for the seventh day of the previous week. These orders do not become inactive at midnight; instead, they expire at noon. When orders for the current week are activated before noon, some or all may be duplicates of the orders that are holdovers from the previous week. Only orders from the current week are needed.
