The following guide may help you locate clinical information within the Results Viewer.
For recent specimens, tests, and reports, start with the Big Board tab. Often, this tab will prove to be your best one-stop shopping source for results from most clinical datatypes. In addition, this is the only tab from which you can access clinical data for patients on a list.
For a specific test result, use the single test lookup option on either the Labs tab or the Last Known Values tab.
For a general comparison of a wide variety of clinical labs, use the Last Known Values tab. This tab will also show you reference ranges and indicate when (if ever) the patient last had an abnormal reading—or for DFCI, a critical value—for these tests.
For trending of a specific result over time, use the Labs tab.
For reports, procedures (such as EKGs and mammograms), and online viewing of digitized images, use the Reports tab.
For specimens and reports within one or more specific clinical datatypes, use the Specimen Views tab.
