You must have a patient selected in order to access the Links page. It displays a list of links for accessing commonly used clinical applications, organized into the following categories:
Scanned Records
EKG Images
Oncology Links
Additional Clinical Links (including retracted documents)
The system makes each link either active or inactive.
An active link is underlined and may be either blue or purple. Aside from the exceptions noted below, an active link indicates that the patient has an MRN for the site named in the link text. It does not indicate that patient data is available. Clicking an active link allows you to access the associated clinical application and view (if available) the patient's flowsheet, image, tracing, etc.
Note: You may need authorization to access certain applications. In addition, the PAML Viewer and Retracted Documents links are active for all patients. Users must have MGH authorization to access the PAML Viewer. Retracted Document availability is limited to the PHS Document Repository.
An inactive link is black. It indicates that the patient does not have an MRN for the site named in the link text. It is not clickable.
1. If you have not already done so, select a patient and click the Links and Search tab (ALT+I) and then the Click to show the links page button..
2. On the Links page, click an active (underlined) link.
3. If the system displays a dialog box prompting you to connect:
In the first field, type your username.
Note: If you selected a link that connects to MGH MUSE, you must type Partners\ in front of your username.
In the second field, type your password.
Click OK.
4. Additional information is available for the following:
Oncology Staging Treatment Plan - Displays all staging/treatment plans in reverse chronological order.
Oncology Treatment History - Displays medications and blood products entered into the infusion flowsheet (for MGH, BWH, NSMC, or DFCI).
Retracted Documents - If the index at the top of the Retracted View lists multiple documents, see Viewing Retracted Documents for details.
Image Links - If you selected an image or MUSE link and the target application displays multiple images or tracings, select the image or tracing you want to view.
Note: Data (images, tracings, documents, etc.) may not be available for this patient. An active link does not indicate that patient data exists.
