Reading a Message

1.   If you haven't already, go to the Clinical Messages (or Mail Center) module. The Active queue of either your Clinical Messages or Patient Requests displays.

2.   Find the message you want. For details, click here.

3.   Click the subject of  the message to display it. The message is displayed. The left side of the screen contains hyperlinks to the other messages in the queue.

Note: You can also click the icon, if available, to view a read only version of the message.

4.   To print this message, click Print to display the message on a new screen. Then click Print. To return, click the close button ().

5.   If desired, save the message as a note (if the message is associated with a patient) or To Do item. Then click Save.

6.   If the message is from a GE Centricity user, view attachments, if applicable. Save attachments as a note if desired.

7.   To delete this message, click Delete. If you have additional messages, the next message is automatically displayed. Otherwise, click Cancel (at the bottom of the screen) to return to the list of messages.
