Writing and editing chemotherapy orders is restricted to authorized providers. See Overview of Writing Chemo Orders.
If ordering from previous settings is allowed, edits made to active orders are saved for future use for this patient.
Restrictions apply to changes for chemotherapy medication orders. See Restrictions—Editing Chemotherapy Medication Orders
The change orders generated by edits to active chemotherapy orders must be activated by a nurse. Check the activation date for your change order , and update if necessary to be sure that the order will be activated and carried out when you intend.

If you haven't already:
Click Write (ALT+W).
Click Chemo (ALT+H).
To access the LMR Oncology Infusion Flowsheet , click Infusion Flowsheet (ALT+F).
From the active Chemotherapy Orders list:
Click the line for the order to edit.
Click the appropriate tab to change parameters or add instructions. Options include:
Selecting from a drop-down list (such as Frequency).
Changing a text entry (for example, Amount in IV flow rate).
Clicking a button to access another form (Scheduled Days). Click OK to return to the chemo orders list. For instructions, see Changing the Schedule.
Selecting from a list box that opens automatically when you click the applicable field (dose modifications). Click OK to return to the chemo orders list. For instructions, see Dose Modifications or AUC Dose Modifications.
If prompted, type the reason for changing the order, then click OK.
If you decide not to edit the order, click Restore to return it to its original form without changes.
In some circumstances, when you change the dose you are prompted to choose whether the dose should be recalculated if the patient weight is changed on activation.
Click Yes to allow recalculation at activation.
Click No to prevent recalculation at activation. When prompted, type the reason, then click OK (ALT+O).
Click Close (ALT+C) to return to the session scratch pad .
You have the option to carry over edits of active chemo orders to the existing orders that are awaiting activation in the future. When prompted:
Click Yes (ALT+Y) to edit the order awaiting activation.
Click No (ALT+N) to restrict the changes to the current active order.
Click Sign (ALT+S).
Type your signing key when prompted.
Click OK (ALT+O).
You must notify nursing and pharmacy that you have changed an active chemo order. Change orders for chemotherapy must be activated by an RN before they can be administered. Click OK (ALT+O) to acknowledge the reminder message for this.
