Order General Care—Screening

• If you haven't already:

1. Select the patient.

2. Click Write (ALT+W).

3. Click General Care (ALT+G).

4. Click Pressure Ulcer / Screening (ALT+S).

• Complete the order:

1. At the question of whether a pressure ulcer is present, select from the drop-down list.

• If Yes, remember to add a description of the wound to the admission note.

• If Unknown, providers writing additional orders for this patient will be periodically prompted to update the order.

2. Click OK (ALT+O).

• If you answer Yes, you are prompted to order a consult for pressure ulcer treatment. See Consequent Orders Overview.

• If the consult is needed, click the checkbox to the left to select the order, then click Yes (ALT+Y).

• If the consult is NOT needed, click No (ALT+N).

• Write additional orders as needed, then sign the session.
