Copy a Protocol or Treatment Plan
- There are two builder/archives for each lab site, one for oncology and
the other for non-oncology. Check the top of the view to determine which
you have open.

- The order templates for copies of protocols and treatment plans
must be activated for use in Biotherapy Order Entry (BOE). See Activating a Template.
- As of 7/20/2021, builders can create a copy of any protocol, treatment
plan, incoming cell type, or activated/reactivated template in the main
builder tree, to use the content as the basis for a new item of the same
type. Once pasted, copies of activated/reactivated templates are pasted
as inactive templates, which can be edited and activated as needed. Click

- Find the protocol or treatment plan that contains the activated/reactivated
template(s) you want to copy:
- Create and name the copy of a protocol or treatment plan:
- Click to select the protocol or treatment plan to be copied.
- Click [ ... ], and then
click the Copy option.
- At the reminder to change the default setting if you're copying
a protocol as a treatment plan, or vice versa, click OK
button. The prompt for pasting, naming, and numbering the copied Protocol/Treatment
Plan opens.
- The default is to create the copy as the same type as the original.
If you want to copy a protocol to the treatment plan list, or vice
versa, select from the drop-down list.
- Type to update the name and number of the copy.
- Click Ok to paste the item
as indicated. The confirmation message opens.
- When prompted, click Ok
to acknowledge the message that the copy succeeded.
