Activate a Template
- Templates can be activated from the main builder tree, or if they
are flagged as pending activation, from the Pending Approval/Activation
tree.
- To display the tree, hold the mouse pointer over the Pending Activation
option, and then click to select Pending Approval/Activation.
- To go from the Pending tree to the main builder tree, click Return to Active View.
- Find and select the template:
- Activate the selected template:
- Click Activate.
- When prompted, type your , and then click Ok.
- For DFCI only, if the template is not assigned to at least one
(1) functional group, you'll be prompted to decide whether a functional
group is needed.
- Before completing the activation, the builder automatically checks
the three types of orders—collection, process, and release—for mismatches
and missing requirements.
- If a mismatch is found that would cause ordering malfunctions in
Biotherapy Order Entry (for example, if options that are required
for the order type, such as the donor type, are missing), you are
prompted to correct the mismatches, which are listed on the message.
The template cannot be activated until you make the corrections.
- Make a note of the missing information.
- Click OK.
- Complete the template to include the missing options.
- If a mismatch is found that would NOT cause ordering malfunctions
in Biotherapy Order Entry (for example, if the collection and process
orders do not have the same collection locations or do not have the
same product collected, or if the collection, process, and/or release
orders do not have the same donor types), you are prompted to correct
the mismatches, which are listed on the message.
- Make a note of the missing information.
- If you want to correct any mismatches, click Cancel;
otherwise, click OK to complete
the activation.
- If you canceled, correct the mismatches to complete the template.
