Summary View - Summary
The Summary view displays available labs and reports for the selected patient.
Data for this view continue to be updated.
- All datatypes are available for MGH and BWH. For details on all other sites, see .
- To display this view, hold the mouse pointer over the Summary Views menu, and then click the option for Summary.
- To change the data displayed:
- To select the to include, click to check (include) or uncheck (exclude) the options below the menu, and then click the Submit button.
- To limit the data to a specific date range, . Click the Submit button when ready.
- To select the (clinical categories) to include, click to check or uncheck the options below the menu, and then click the Submit button.
- Summary index: The Results Summary displays an index of available labs and reports that meet the selection criteria. Depending on your preference setting, the index appears either above or to the left of the detail pane. See Setting Preferences.
- Setting of Top or Left - items are listed to the location selected. For additional information on the item, hold the mouse pointer over the link. Click the link to display details.
- Setting of Top: Filter/Sort - click the item in the index to display detail below. See Using the Filter Sort Index for detailed information.
- For clinical labs (Chemistry, Immunology, Hematology, and Blood Bank), click the line for the specimen in the index to display its detail.
- The detail includes all information for a lab specimen, including tests, results, reference ranges, and collection and completion time stamps.
- The results grid includes that flag abnormal or critically abnormal values. These codes vary by site.
- To display additional information for a report, hold the mouse pointer over its link.
- To display an entire report (including images when available) in the Detail pane, click its link.
- For Genetics, click the Updated link to launch the PCGDR Report Specific Genetics Summary page in a pop-up window. See the PCGDR User Guide (link in upper-right of the view) for details.
- Images associated with radiology (Rad) and cardiology (Card) reports may be available online. (Not all images are available online.) To display an image, click the associated Image link. For detailed instructions, see:
- The list item includes a History link when previous versions are available.
- To display when the current version was last edited, hold the mouse pointer over the link.
- Click the link to open the Document History, a new Notes Viewer index of any previous versions of the selected document. See Using the Popup Notes Viewer.
- To close the viewer, click
in the upper right of the popup window.
- To generate a paper copy of the detail display:
- Click the Print Preview button to see how the printed report will look when printed.
- Click
to select a printer, and then click the Print button.
- To close the viewer, click
in the upper right of the popup window.
- To copy a report to the clipboard (selected reports only), for pasting into another document, click Copy.
