Using  the SmartView Pane

1.   Navigate to the appropriate section, and click  in the section header.

2.   Search for the item and fill-out information as appropriate. The newly added item appears in the SmartView pane, and an N appears before the item indicating it is new.

Note: You cannot add new labs in the SmartView pane.

1.   Click the item to modify.

2.   Make the necessary changes. An E appears before an item that was modified. An D appears before an item that was inactivated or discontinued respectively.

Click the Refresh SmartView from server icon

 ( ). This updates data in the SmartView pane if any changes were made to the patient's chart by another user while you are working in the Smart Form.

Click the  to the left of the item. Graphs appear in the Note pane. For more information about viewing graphs, see Related Topics.

• To add all the data from the section (or today's vital signs) to the note, click  in the corresponding section header.

Note:  To add all vital signs, click the drop-down arrow next to in the section header and select Add All Vital Signs to Note.

• To add only a specific item from a section to the note, click  to the left of the item to add. Items in some sections cannot be added individually.

• To add a vital signs or lab tests for a specific date to the note, click  the column heading under the desired date.

Note: When creating a note from a template, use these options only after starting your note in the Note pane. Otherwise, you will lose any previously added information when starting the new note.
