Custom Query  Overview

Custom queries are reports with specific LMR data as selection criteria. When run (using the Custom Queries option from the Reports menu), the query returns patients who have entries that match the specified criteria.

The Custom Queries module provides a design tool that allows you to create, change, and delete custom queries. The query builder interface screen makes it easy for you to select the information you want reported and to arrange the information in the order you want it reported.

Note: Currently, this module is considered an analyst tool, but super users also have access to it. Typically, analysts create queries for users on an as requested basis.

Your personal custom queries display initially. However, a series of filter buttons at the top of the screen can help you locate and view queries created by others. See Using Custom Filters for details. Custom queries created by others can be used as a basis for creating new queries.

The Module Preferences button is different than the other filter buttons. It allows you to maintain the list of queries that are available to you when you click the Custom Queries option from the Reports menu. See Maintaining the Target Custom List for details.
