Note: If the template you want to create is similar to an existing one, you can save time by editing and renaming that template.
1. If you haven't already, go to the Custom Broadcast module.
2. Click Add New. The LMR prompts in a text block for entry of template text.
3. Add text by clicking into the main window and typing. To apply special formatting (such as bold or italic text) or check spelling, click the appropriate button.
Important:
Do not include any patient information in external notification email templates.
You must include standard HIS-required text in all external notification email templates. For details, click here.
4. Click Ok (ALT+O).
5. Type or select a Broadcast Name (this becomes the name users see when determining which external email to select for a PG broadcast message). Then, click Enterprise and select eMail from the drop-down list. If desired, you can also type a Subject to be used as the subject for broadcast notification email messages created from this template.
6. Click Save.
