1. If you haven't already, go to the Medications module, and click Inactive Meds.
2. Click the medication name you want to activate from the displayed list. The LMR displays details for that medication. By default the RX Print/Fax option is selected.
3. Update other fields, as necessary.
4. Click Activate.
Note:
To assist you, the LMR displays Alert messages if you activate duplicate medications or medications that conflict with other patient information (such as allergies, labs, or other medications). See Responding to Medication Alerts for details.
A chemotherapy consent form is required when prescribing chemotherapy medications. For details, click here.
5. If you want to save your work now, click Sign (F10). The LMR indicates the changes that will be saved. Type your key and click Sign.
6. Depending on your set up, you may be prompted to select a cosigner or sign for a provider. See Selecting a Cosigner and Signing and Saving for a Provider.
Note: Activating a medication moves it to the current Medications list.
