To move orders from the template Order List, click and drag them to the template:
Click the order you want and hold the mouse button down.
Move the mouse pointer over the template. The pointer should now have a + beneath the arrow.
If the pointer does not have a + beneath the arrow, move it back over the Order List. Do not release the mouse button. When the pointer changes, move it back over the template.
Move the pointer to the template and release the mouse button.
To fill a drop-down order list:
Drag the Order List: your caption from the template Order List window.
To change the width of the field, lock the template items (lock = button down, dragging OFF), then click and drag the right side of the field.
Drag orders from the Order List to the field of the drop-down list. The first order you move is listed first, the next is second, and so on.
To change the order of the items in the list, remove and replace the orders.
Notice the upper left corner of the surrounding rectangle when placing the item. This corner will snap to the nearest dot on the template. See Moving Orders.
To avoid having to rewrite orders (except for orders saved in an Order Set), place all of the orders somewhere on the template and save before you close. Any orders left on the list when the template is closed are lost and must be rewritten if needed. (Saved order sets can always be pulled back into the Order List.)
When you're moving orders from the Order List to the template, Drag On/Off has no effect.
