The nursing orders prompt is presented to RNs on selecting a patient who does not have nursing orders completed.
Nursing orders can be completed at any time using Nursing Orders from the UCM.
Nursing orders include the tobacco treatment plan from general care, and consults for nutrition and food services, chaplaincy, and social services.
Smoking status (tobacco use in the past year) is required within 24 hours of admission for all patients over 12 years old. The status is optional for patients ages 1 through 12. The question is not asked for neonates.
Nursing orders do not require a cosign.
Nursing orders are automatically transcribed/RN reviewed on signing.
Nursing orders are prefaced with [RN Order].
