If you haven't already, select a patient.
Available to all authorized users of Provider Order Entry:
Click Activate (ALT+C). If prompted, select Post-Op Session, then click OK (ALT+O).
Select a session from the list.
Click Edit (ALT+E).
See below for changing or deleting orders.
To return to the patient list, click Cancel (ALT+C), then click Close (ALT+C).
For post-op orders only, available to users with access to the Post-Op Surgeon or Post-Op Anesthesia authorization:
Click Post-OP Surgeon (ALT+P) or Post-OP Anesthesia (ALT+P).

To return to the patient list, click Close ALT+C).
To write additional orders, see Writing Perioperative Orders From a Template.
To display details of an order, click to select its line, then click Zoom (ALT+Z). Click Close (ALT+C) to return to the orders list.
To change an existing order:
Click its line in the orders list.
Click Edit (ALT+E).
The form for the order opens; make changes as needed. See Editing Orders.
Click OK (ALT+O).
To delete an order:
Click its line in the orders list.
Click Delete (ALT+D). To undo this action, click Restore (ALT+R).
Once you sign a deletion, you can't use Restore—the order must be rewritten.
Complete the changes to the session:
Click Sign (ALT+S).
When prompted, type your signing key, then click OK (ALT+O).
