Discard Post-Op Orders Before Activation

• Post-Op order sessions can only be discarded before the session is activated. If the orders are already active, see Discontinuing Active Orders.

•  If you haven't already:

1. Select a patient.

2. Click Activate (ALT+C).If prompted, select Post-Op Session, then click OK (ALT+O).

• Display the orders in the session:

3. Select a session from the list.

4. Click Discard (ALT+D).

• To open KnowledgeLink:

• Click .

• Click Exit (ALT+E) to close KnowledgeLink.

• Click Pop Out (ALT+P) to open KnowledgeLink in a separate window from the CAS.

• Toggle between Order Entry and KnowledgeLink by clicking the icons in the taskbar.

• Click to close the KnowledgeLink window.

• To view details of an order:

• Click to select its line.

• Click Zoom (ALT+Z).

• Click Close (ALT+C) to return to the Order Summary.

• Discard the orders:

5. Click Yes (ALT+Y) when you have reviewed all of the listed orders appropriately.

6. Click OK (ALT+O).

7. When prompted, type your signing key and click OK (ALT+O).

• To return to the patient list:

8. Click Close (ALT+C).

9. Click Back to UCM Options (ALT+B).
