This screen, accessed by clicking the CC List button from any LMR note, includes enhancements to how the LMR works with the CC list communication option (fax, email, or clinical message). By default, the application displays the preferred communication option selected by each physician on the My Preferences screen. If no preference is selected by the physician, the check boxes remain unchecked. You can select and uncheck check boxes to specify how you want to send the note. Changing the distribution method for a physician does not affect the physician's preference setting. See Setting Your Preferences for details.
If the physician selects a communication preference option, when you add the physician to the Physician grid or to a CC list, the options selected by the physician are displayed.
There is a new column, Auto Notify (AN), in the Physician grid. This column allows you to select whether or not to notify the physician every time a note is added for the patient. This option is only available if the provider selected a CC list communication preference for how they want to receive notes. The notes are distributed every evening to physicians with auto notify selected. Once a note has been finalized and distributed, it is no longer eligible for auto-notification.
If the physician selects a communication preference option, when you add the physician to the Physician grid or to a CC list, the options selected by the physician are displayed.
Acute Respiratory Infection Form
You can now document Acute Respiratory Infections using the new Smart Form. This functionality is being piloted at selected Partners practices.
You can now set a preference to indicate how you prefer to receive a patient note that is cc'd to you (fax, email, or clinical message). You can select multiple options. Your preference is automatically displayed when your name is added to a CC list for a patient note. If you select a preference, you can be auto-notified every time a note is added for a patient. See Summary2 Overview for more details.
Changes have been made to support the upcoming PACCT study for practices using the Patient Gateway application. When patients in participating practices submit a patient journal, the associated LMR modules include enhancements to allow the viewing and inclusion of journal information. These changes affect the following LMR modules:
Schedule
Medications
Problems
Allergies
Fam/Soc History
Notes
Journal Tracker
The Fam/Soc History module has been redesigned to allow entry of family history conditions by coded problem name. You can also select other information associated with any family history entry, such as the family member and age of onset. Previously, family history information was either entered as a block of text on the Fam/Soc History module or as a problem list entry (with a modifier of "FH").
Additionally, entries on the patient's problem list with a modifier of "FH" are now converted into coded entries on this screen. In the Problems module, these entries are moved to a section at the top of the screen with a link to Switch to Fam Hx.
Risk factors are now calculated to aid in decision support.
Endoscopy results (Sigmoidoscopy and Colonoscopy) now display in the health maintenance grid similar to pap and mammography if results are available.
Note: This is only applicable to procedures performed at BWH, MGH, and Faulkner.
The graph display has been modified to accept varying default values based on requirements.
The LMR backup process now includes the ability to access patients' facesheet information from a dedicated workstation with a special logon in the event of a problem with the network or LMR. The backup process includes the automatic delivery of links to the last two visit notes and corresponding facesheet reports to a local folder on the backup workstation every night.
