What's New in this Release - August 2008

A special interim release has been distributed to comply with regulations for tamper-proof prescriptions for Medicaid/MassHealth patients. These regulations are effective October 1, 2008. Changes include the following:

• Sign

  New options are available when you are signing for data that includes medication prescriptions. The Sign screen now includes two different print options (Print to Default printer and Print to Other printer). Selecting the "other" printer option allows you to print prescriptions to a different printer than your default LMR printer. If specified in Custom Preferences, the "other" option also uses different paper settings for printing. These changes are added to comply with tamper-proof prescription regulations for Medicaid/MassHealth patients, effective October 1, 2008.

• Custom Preferences

  There is a new Medications Preference that allows you to specify paper settings for default prescription printing as well as "other" prescription printing. These settings are added to comply with tamper-proof prescription regulations for Medicaid/MassHealth patients, effective October 1, 2008.

Note: For users accessing the LMR on a computer with Windows XP, Service Pack 2 (either from a home computer through VPN or an office computer), additional steps may be necessary. These steps ensure that you properly download all necessary LMR note components. Click here for details.
