Note: You can set a preference to have your notes autosave in order to minimize data loss.
If the server goes down when you are writing a free form note, there are steps you can take to prevent the loss of your data.
1. The Ok button at the bottom of the note page will display in red to let you know that there is no server connection.
2. A prompt displays to indicate that the server connection is temporarily down. Do not close the browser! It is very important that you do not refresh or navigate away from the current page. When this prompt displays, the contents of your note are automatically selected and copied.
3. You can wait until the server comes back up and then proceed with the note. However, if you have to exit LMR, be sure to open Microsoft® Word or Microsoft® Notepad (no formatting) and paste the contents of the note into a file so that you can retrieve the data at a later time.
Important: If you are working with a structured note, a warning message does not display when the server connection goes down, but LMR will display a message letting you know that the page cannot be displayed. Wait until the server connection is restored and click Ok. Your note is saved up to that point when the server went down.
