Working with Items on the Home Page

A series of modules displays on the Home Page. Numbers to the right of each module name indicate the number of items waiting in your queue. To find more information about the displayed numbers, hover your mouse pointer over the numbers to display a ToolTip.

Do any of the following:

• Click or to maximize or minimize the section.

• Click any underlined module title to navigate to that module.

• Click a patient’s name to navigate to the patient’s chart.

• Right-click a patient’s name to display the right-click shortcut menu.

• Refresh the home page by clicking .

• Create a custom home page layout by clicking the Customize link on the top right of the screen.

• Customize the individual module display by clicking .

To work with individual items in each module, do any of the following:

• Schedule

  The Schedule displays appointments for today's date and is view-only. Your role determines which appointments are displayed.

• Clinical Messages

  • Click the subject of the message to display the Read Message screen in the Clinical Messages module.

  • Take action on the message (i.e. forward or reply to it).

  • Clicking Cancel from the Read Message screen returns you to the Home Page. The Clinical Message list on the Home Page updates upon your return if any changes were made.

• Document Management

  • Click the note subject link to display the note in edit mode.

  • Take action on the note (i.e. make changes and save as Draft, Prelim, or Final.)

  • Clicking Draft, Prelim, Final, or Cancel returns you to the Home Page. The Document Management list on the Home Page updates upon your return if any changes were made. Note that you must sign for changes.

• Results Manager 2

  Note: Your practice must have access to Result Manager 2 for Result Manager to display on the Home Page.

  • Click the result to display the Result Detail screen.

  • Take action on the result (i.e. acknowledge, send a letter, etc.)

  • Clicking Return to Results List returns you to the Home Page. The Result Manager list on the Home Page updates upon your return if any changes were made.

• Rx Renewal Queue

  • Click the description link to display the Rx Renewal screen for that item.

  • Take action on the medication (i.e. approve or deny request). For details, see Rx Renewal Queue Help topics.

  • Clicking Ok or Cancel returns you to the Home Page. The Rx Renewal list on the Home Page updates upon your return if any changes were made. Note that you must sign for changes.

• Referral Manager

  • Click the Next Step link to display details of that referral.

  • Make any updates, as needed.

  • Click Draft, Final, Pending Authorization, Authorized by MD, Cancel (and so on) to return to the Home Page. The Referral Manager list on the Home Page updates upon your return. Not that you must sign for changes.

• To Do

  • Click the To Do Text link to display the To Do item in edit mode.

  • Take action on the To Do item (i.e. mark as completed or update text, etc.)

  • Clicking Ok or Cancel returns you to the Home Page. The To Do list on the Home Page updates upon your return if any changes were made. Note that you must sign for changes.
