Creating a Patient Letter

1.   If you haven't already, go to the Results Manager module.

2.   If you want to use clinical results from the CDR, you must open the associated pop-up window before starting your letter. Do so by clicking the CDR Results column corresponding to the desired patient.

3.   Click the Patient Letter column corresponding to the desired patient. The LMR displays a new screen for entering a patient letter, automatically supplying the recipient's full name and address (if available). Note that only one letter can be created per patient visit.

4.   To base your letter on a predefined template, click to select one from the Template drop-down field in the top right corner.

5.   Type or modify information, as desired.

6.   If you previously copied clinical result text that you want to paste into your letter, move the cursor to the point you want to add information. Then, click the right mouse button and select Paste.

Note: If you want to copy additional CDR information, you can toggle between the open pop-up window and your letter by holding down the ALT key while pressing the TAB key.

7.   To prevent subsequent edits to this letter, click the Final check box.

8.   Click Ok.

9.   If you want to save your work now, click Sign (F10). The LMR indicates the changes that will be saved. Type your key and click Sign.
