1. If you haven’t already, open an associated patient note or start a new note.
2. Click to select the diagram insertion point.
For free-form notes, click the desired location within the text pane.
For structured notes, click the text area within the appropriate note section.
3. Click to open
the Annotated Diagram window.
4. Do one of the following:
To select an image from the library, click the Library of Images down arrow, click the folder associated with the type of diagram (such as Dentistry or Dermatology), and select the image to annotate.
To import an image, click Open, locate the picture you want to import, and click Open.

4. Click Save & Close to save the diagram and exit the Annotated Diagrams window. The diagram link (for free-form notes) or image (for structured notes) appears within the note.
Note: You can click and drag the corner of the image to enlarge the diagram to make it easily viewable from within a structured note. See Related Topics to view a diagram within a free-form note.
