Build a Chemo Regimen or Protocol—Add a Subfolder

If you haven't already, open the chemo builder

Add a yellow folder (holds order sets, branch points, or other yellow folders)

1. In the chemotherapy builder, click to select the appropriate regimen (red), protocol (purple), or branch folder (inside a regimen or protocol) in the Chemo Maintenance folder.

2. Add (ALT+A).

3. Click Folder.

4. Press TAB and type the name and a description.

5. Click OK (ALT+O).

6. Cycle length—In the tab for the folder, type the cycle length, the number of days required for this step of the treatment, including any subsequent days when no therapy should be administered.

7. Confirm Previous—For a subfolder within a branch point, click the Confirm Previous checkbox if the orders in the folder are only intended for use in a single treatment episode. When this box is checked and the ordering clinician clicks Yes when prompted to reuse previous orders, the folders inside the branch point are all offered in a drop-down list. The clinician must select a folder to continue.

8. Last Folder—If this is the final subfolder for the regimen or protocol, click the Last Folder check box. Check Last Folder for single-subfolder regimens and protocols also.

9. Sign to save your work.
