Order Diagnostic Studies—EEG

• If you haven't already:

1. Select the patient.

2. Click Write (ALT+W).

3. Click Diagnostic Studies (ALT+I).

4. Click EEG (ALT+G).

• Complete the form

1. Click to select the indication for performing the exam.

2. Type relevant clinical information in the field provided.

3. The option for continuous or routine monitoring may be pre-selected, depending on the indication you selected. If needed, click to select or change the type of monitoring.

4. To order Stat testing, click Yes in the Order Stat/Urgent field. Type an explanation in the Reason field provided.

5. Click OK (ALT+O).

6. Instructions for contacting are presented

• Write additional orders as needed, then sign the session.
