Order Blood Products—Type and Screen

• If you haven't already:

1. Select the patient.

2. Click Write (ALT+W).

3. Click Blood Products (ALT+B).

4. Click Type and Screen (ALT+S).

• Complete the form

5. Select from the Priority drop-down list (Routine, ASAP, STAT, Pre-op for surgery in next 24 hours, Pre-op for future surgery, or Other).

6. For female patients, if pregnant and bleeding, click to select the checkbox.

7. Type instructions as needed.

8. Click OK (ALT+O).

• Write additional orders as needed, then sign the session.
