Authorize Chemotherapy Exception Orders

• If you haven't already:

1. Select the patient.

2. For inpatients, click Chemo Options (ALT+M).

3. Click Authorization (ALT+U).

• To display the orders in a session:

1. Click to select a line from the list.

2. Click Authorize (ALT+O).

• To view order details:

• Click Zoom (ALT+Z).

• Click Close (ALT+C) to return to the list.

•  To display chemotherapy and medication orders:

• Click View Chemo (ALT+V)

• Click Close (ALT+C) to return to the authorization list.

• To open Knowledge Link:

• Click .

• Click Exit (ALT+E) to return to the orders list.

• Click Pop Out (ALT+P) to detach the KnowledgeLink window from the CAS. Toggle between Order Entry and KnowledgeLink by clicking the icons in the taskbar. Click to close the Knowledge Link window.

• To delete the orders, click Reject All (ALT+R).

• Sign the session:

1. Click Sign (ALT+S).

2. Type your clinical key when prompted.

3. Click OK (ALT+O).

• Repeat the process for every line on the Authorize Pending Sessions list.
