If you often focus on reviewing specific types of labs rather than all tests, you will find the Set Filters feature useful. It allows you to define a subset of panels from the list of full system panels or your own personal panels (if created). You can then use the Filtered System Panels or Filtered Personal Panels option on the Labs tab to display your predefined subset of panels.
1. If you haven't already, open the Labs tab.
2. Click within the Panels field (upper left quadrant of the view); then select Set Filters from the drop-down list. The system displays the Panels Selector. The default selection list is for System Panels.
Note: If you want to define a subset of panels based on your own custom panels, click the Personal Panels link.
3. Click check boxes to the left of the panels you want to include in the subset.
4. Click Save Changes; then click the Close (X) button in the upper right corner to exit.
5. To view the subset of panels for the current patient, click within the Panels field; then click Filtered System Panels or Filtered Personal Panels, as applicable.
Note: You can set your filtered panels as the default set of panels for Labs tab. To do so, click the Options button on the left side of the CAS; then make your selection in the Default Labs View field.
