Send referrals for a re-opened need

A need will be closed when the need is finalized or canceled, or when the case is or canceled. 

  • If you haven't already, from 4Next standalone:
  1. Click Cases Sent on the main menu.
  1. Click the patient name to select a case.
  • If you haven't already, from DHeCare (Epic Hyperspace):
  1. Log in to the Case Management or Care Coordinator module.
  2. From the patient encounter, click the 4Next tab.
  • Click Manage to display the case management view.

Sending referrals for a re-opened need

  • When you re-open a need, you have the option to send a referral to previously selected providers, if the referral wasn't denied or canceled by the provider.
  1. Filter the referrals to show providers with a retracted or removed status.
  2. Send the referral(s) you want:
