Accepting an offer (confirming a referral)

  • If you haven't already, from 4Next standalone:
  1. Click Cases Sent on the main menu.
  1. Click the patient name to select a case.
  • If you haven't already, from DHeCare (Epic Hyperspace):
  1. Log in to the Case Management or Care Coordinator module.
  2. From the patient encounter, click the 4Next tab.
  • Click Manage to display the case management view.
  • Cases have a status of Accepted icon  Awaiting to confirm when there's a need with at least one (1) referral Accepted icon Offered and none accepted.

  1. Find the referral that has been Accepted icon Offered.
  2. Click  in the upper right of the provider item, and then click the Accept Offer option. 
  3. The popup to accept the offer automatically includes an appropriate message. Type to add to or edit the message.
  4. To flag the message as requiring immediate action, click Priority switch off to turn the Priority switch on: Priority switch on.

  5. Click send.
  • Each message is added to the applicable single-provider list and the Communicate message list. Messaging a provider automatically marks all messages from that provider as read Message read icon

  • The referral is flagged as Confirmed icon Confirmed. If all of the needs for the case have a Confirmed icon Confirmed referral, the status of the case is also Confirmed icon Confirmed.
  • If any of the needs for the case is not finalized and doesn't have a Confirmed icon Confirmed referral, the status of the case may be In Process icon In Process or In Process icon Awaiting to Confirm.
  • You can only confirm one (1) referral for a need. To confirm a different Accepted icon Offered referral, you must retract the one that's confirmed.
