Note: Test ticklers are only available to users specifically authorized to use enhanced Result Manager functionality.
Use test ticklers if you want to receive a system-generated warning for a patient who does not complete a test by a specified date. Warnings regarding overdue ticklers are displayed on the list screen. To view your list of overdue ticklers, click View Ticklers. Ticklers are automatically removed once the associated test is completed.
Add test ticklers as follows:
1. If you haven't already, go to the Result Manager module from the Desktop menu. (This functionality is not available from the Results Manager module accessed from the Patient Chart menu.)
2. Click Ticklers and Add New.
3. Click Change Patient and find the patient by name or medical record number.
4. Click the and select Mammogram, Pap smear, or Lab. If you select Lab, find the test by typing into the text block and clicking Test Search.
5. Select the tickler due date and add comments, if desired.
6. Click Ok. Or click Ok-Add New to immediately begin entering a second tickler.
