These items are intended to serve as reminders of health monitoring issues, based on the patient's sex, age, and past medical history. Reminders are only displayed when applicable to the patient.
The LMR reviews clinical and medical record data to determine if a reminder is indicated for the item. For example, for patients over 65 years old, the LMR checks to see that a pneumovax has been recorded (using either the Health Monitoring or Immunization module). If not found, the LMR displays the reminder, "Patient is due for Pneumovax."
