1. If you haven’t already, select a patient, and go to the PHI Request module under the Reports menu.
2. Click New.
3. Select the date of the request was made by the patient.
4. Select the time the request was made by the patient.
5. Select the method of transmission. You can select multiple options. If the patient requested a print out only, no selection is necessary. Otherwise, make selections as follows:
Make available in Patient Gateway: This check box is available and selected by default if the patient has a Patient Gateway account. Click to deselect or select it.
Patient/PCR e-Mail: This field is populated if the patient has an e-mail address in Summary 2. Enter or edit the patient's e-mail, if necessary. Click Add to add this e-mail address to the Recipients list.
Additional e-Mail: Enter an additional e-mail, and click Add.
6. Verify e-mail addresses in the Recipients
list. To delete an e-mail address, click the
icon next to the e-mail.
7. When you are finished, click Ok to generate the report. The report is automatically transmitted once it is generated.
8. The report displays with a "Queued"
status on the Health Information Reports screen. Use the icon to refresh the screen, if desired.
9. Once the report has been generated, a date/time link for the report displays. Click the link to view, resend, or print the report.
