Maintaining the Target Flowsheets List

The Module Preferences button allows you to limit the flowsheets available to you from the Flowsheets module (from the Patient Chart menu).

If you do not use it to specify at least one flowsheet, the target list includes all available flowsheets. This includes all flowsheets you've saved to your personal list, all flowsheets saved by you and your colleagues as "practice" flowsheets, as well as all system-supplied (general) flowsheets.

Use the following options to simplify and organize your list of custom flowsheets:

• To remove one or more flowsheets from the list

  1.   If you haven't already, go to the Custom Flowsheets module and click Module Preferences. The LMR displays the current list of all available flowsheets. (You may need to click Load My and Practice.)

  2.   Click the check box to the left of the flowsheet name and Remove. The LMR displays a verification message.

  Note: Removing a flowsheet only hides it from being displayed in the target list; it does not delete it. Also, only the author, supervisor, or practice manager can remove flowsheets saved as Practice General or system-supplied flowsheets.

• To add individual flowsheets to this list

  1.   If you haven't already, go to the Custom Flowsheets module.

  2.   If necessary, use the filter buttons to find the flowsheet you want to add. The default filter button, My, includes all custom flowsheets you've saved to your personal list. For details on other options, click here.

  3.   Click the Module check box and the Move to Module button.

• To reorder flowsheets in this list

  1.   If you haven't already, go to the Custom Flowsheets module and click Module Preferences. The LMR displays the current list of all available flowsheets. (You may need to click Load My and Practice.)

  2.   Click the line for a flowsheet to select it. (When doing so, be sure not to click the flowsheet name; doing so displays the flowsheet in edit mode.)

  3.   Then, click a navigation button to either move the flowsheet up or down in the list ( or ), or to make it the first or last one listed ( or ).

• To restore your target list at any time to include all available flowsheets

  1.   If you haven't already, go to the Custom Flowsheets module and click Module Preferences. The LMR displays the current list of all available flowsheets. (You may need to click Load My and Practice.)

  2.   If any flowsheets are displayed, they must first be deleted. Do so by clicking the Remove check box to select all flowsheets and clicking the Remove button.

  3.   Then, click Load My and Practice.

• To specify your default flowsheet

  1.   If you haven't already, go to the Custom Flowsheets module and click Module Preferences. The LMR displays the current list of all available flowsheets. (You may need to click Load My and Practice.)

  2.   Click the option button (not the check box) directly to the left of the flowsheet name you want to use as the default flowsheet.

  Note: The default flowsheet is also updated when you click to display a new flowsheet from the Flowsheets view (Patient Chart mode).

Note: Your changes are effective immediately. You do not need to click Sign or type your key.
