Maintaining the Target Custom List

The Module Preferences button allows you to limit the distribution lists available to you when completing the "send to" fields for clinical messages and e-mail.

If you do not use it to specify at least one list, the target list includes all available lists. This includes all lists you've saved to your personal list, as well as all lists saved by you and your colleagues as "practice" lists.

Use the following options to simplify and organize your list of custom distribution lists:

• To remove one or more lists from the list

  1.   If you haven't already, go to the Custom List view and click Module Preferences. The LMR displays the current list of all available distribution lists. (You may need to click Load My and Practice.)

  2.   Using the drop down list, select whether you want to remove one or more distribution lists used with either sending clinical messages or e-mail.

  3.   Click the check box to the left of the list name and Remove. The LMR displays a verification message.

  Note: Removing a list only hides it from being displayed in the target list; it does not delete it. Also, only the author, supervisor, or practice manager can remove lists saved as Practice General.

• To add individual lists to this list

  1.   If you haven't already, go to the Custom List view.

  2.   If necessary, use the filter buttons to find the list you want to add. Click the Module check box. The default filter button, My, includes all custom lists you've saved to your personal list. For details on other options, click here.

  3.   Then, select whether you want to use this distribution list with clinical messages, e-mail, or both (All), using the drop-down box at the Move to Module... field.

• To reorder lists in this list

  1.   If you haven't already, go to the Custom List view and click Module Preferences. The LMR displays the current list of all available distribution lists. (You may need to click Load My and Practice.)

  2.   Using the drop down list, select whether you want to reorder distribution lists used with clinical messages or e-mail.

  3.   Click the line for a list to select it. (When doing so, be sure not to click the list name; doing so displays the list in edit mode.) Then, click a navigation button to either move it up or down in the list ( or ), or to make it the first or last one listed ( or ).

• To restore your target list at any time to include all available lists

  1.   If you haven't already, go to the Custom List view and click Module Preferences. The LMR displays the current list of all available distribution lists. (You may need to click Load My and Practice.)

  2.   Using the drop down list, select whether you want to restore all the custom distribution lists for sending clinical messages or those for sending LMR e-mail.

  3.   Then, click Load My and Practice.

  Note: The Load My and Practice button is inactive if any current lists are displayed. You must first delete all lists (by clicking the Remove check box and clicking the Remove button) before you can click Load My and Practice.

Note: Your changes are effective immediately. You do not need to click Sign or type your key.
