Read an Overview about Referral Reports
This option from the Admin menu (or from the Reports button in Referral Management) allows authorized users to generate a variety of reports to monitor how well practices are following up referrals documented in the LMR. Reports are generated based on the location of the logged on user. Reports include the following:
Overdue Referral – Lists overdue referrals for a selected provider or all providers at the practice.
Overall Metrics – Reports general compliance to the referral workflow as documented in the LMR.
Detailed Metrics – Includes compliance as noted above, with a breakdown for each provider.
Overall Task Time – Reports the number of days to complete workflow tasks for referrals as documented in the LMR.
Detailed Task Time – Includes number of days to complete tasks, with a breakdown for each referral.
Distribution by Specialty - Includes the number of referrals for each specialty.
You can select the time frame, individual provider or all providers, status (in progress or closed) and other options for reporting data.
Generate an Overdue Referral Report
This report lists overdue referrals for the selected provider at the practice or all providers at the practice (if ALL is selected). Referrals are considered overdue if any step in the referral workflow was not completed within the designated time frame. Note that the LMR uses the Urgency selected for the referral to determine its time frame.
1. If you haven’t already, select Referral Reports from the Admin menu or click the Reports button from the Referral Management module. The Overdue Referral Report option is selected by default.
2. If you want to limit your report to a specific provider, select him or her from the drop-down list. Otherwise, your report is based on all providers at your location.
3. If desired, use the options to filter your report to overdue referrals flagged as “High Priority” or for those with a selected Urgency (Routine, Urgent, or Emergency).
4. Click Run Report.
Generate an Overall Metrics Report
This option reports general compliance to the referral workflow as documented in the LMR. The report includes the total number of referrals initiated within the selected time frame, and out of those referrals the percentage of those for which notes have been attached, acknowledged, and communicated to patients.

Generate an Overall Task Time Report
This option reports the time to complete workflow tasks for referrals as documented in the LMR. For the selected time frame, the report includes the number of days to complete each of the following tasks:
Schedule an appointment
Document and attach the consult note to the referral
Acknowledge review of the consult note (by the referring MD)
Communicate to the patient about the results of the consult
Close the referral
The report includes the overall time to complete these tasks, as well as the shortest and longest number of days. It also includes the number of referrals excluded from the totals due to missing or incorrect dates.
1. If you haven’t already, select Referral Reports from the Admin menu or click the Reports button from the Referral Management module. The Overdue Referral Report option is selected by default.
2. Select the Overall Task Time option.
3. If you want to limit your report to a specific provider, select him or her from the drop-down list. Otherwise, your report is based on all providers at your location.
4. Select the time frame for your report, using the Start and End Date fields.
5. If desired, use the Specialty drop-down list to filter your report to referrals with a specific specialty office (such as Cardiology or Dermatology).
6. If desired, use the options to filter your report to referrals flagged as “High Priority” or for those with a selected Urgency (Routine, Urgent, or Emergency).
7. If desired, use the drop-down list to filter your reports with a status of In Progress or Closed.
8. Click Run Report.
Generate a Detailed Task Time Report
This option reports the time to complete workflow tasks as documented in the LMR. For each referral within the selected time frame, the report includes the number of days to complete each of the following tasks:
Schedule an appointment
Document and attach the consult note to the referral
Acknowledge review of the consult note (by the referring MD)
Communicate to the patient about the results of the consult
Close the referral
A column indicates if the referral is associated with a No Show or Cancelled appointment.

Generate a Distribution by Specialty Report
This option reports the number of referrals for each specialty for the selected time frame. Referrals are further broken down by the level of urgency recorded for the referral (Emergency, Urgent, or Routine).
1. If you haven’t already, select Referral Reports from the Admin menu or click the Reports button from the Referral Management module. The Overdue Referral Report option is selected by default.
2. Select the Distribution by Specialty option.
3. If you want to limit your report to a specific provider, select him or her from the drop-down list. Otherwise, your report is based on all providers at your location.
4. Select the time frame for your report, using the Start and End Date fields.
5. If desired, use the Specialty drop-down list to filter your report to referrals with a specific specialty office (such as Cardiology or Dermatology).
6. If desired, use the drop-down list to filter your reports with a status of In Progress or Closed.
7. Click Run Report.
