1. Click Add Patient. The Patient Lookup screen opens and displays the associated GE patient data along with a warning message.
Caution: Once you associate a patient with a
message, it cannot be undone. Make sure you select the appropriate
patient.
2. Type the name of the patient you wish to search for. Type the last name first. If you know the first name, enter a comma after the last name and then type the first name. You can enter only part of the name (even a single initial is allowed) to save time.
3. Click Search.
4. Select the appropriate patient from the search results. The patient’s name now displays in the Re: field on the clinical message screen.
